Sting is my beloved cat and has travelled the world with me. We have used many cat sitters in the past. I’ve never met anyone else who I would trust more than Claire to look after him.
Sting is happier being at home than in a cattery when we are away. On travels I pine for him. The very best thing about Claire is that as well as his physical needs taken care of I know she’ll also takes time to play with him (which he loves) and makes a fuss and love him.
For me this peace of mind is priceless. He also loves her and makes an effort to be around when she calls.
If you want someone to love your cat as well as feed them and change their litter tray Claire is the best.
We have been using Cat Companion for over 3 years now and have no hesitation in recommending Claire and her team to anyone who needs a caring and trustworthy cat sitter.
Claire runs the business with the utmost professionalism and care, with her veterinary background also providing us with additional comfort that Lola is well cared for while we are away. We receive regular updates and photos when away for more than a weekend, and always return to clean bowls and litter trays with an update on how she has been.
One of our favourite sitters is Frances who is extremely caring and takes the extra time to comfort Lola while we are away. When we initially met Frances I could tell our cat was comfortable in her company, which is a rarity for strangers.
I remember on one occasion Lola wasn't well while we were away - Frances had no hesitation in cleaning up the mess, extending the stay to have her settled, and then also checked in with us to see how she was after her sitting duties were finished. Frances is undoubtedly a very caring individual who doesn't just treat the sitting as a feeding exercise.
I was a bit nervous about leaving my cat with a cat sitter for the first time but Melina helped me to feel at ease with keeping me updated about Tiger's progress. I'm happy to say all went well and that I'll be using Cat Companion again.
We felt so at ease knowing Sally was visiting our cat Cookie each day to make sure she was happy, fed & cuddled. It was so lovely that she sent us texts and pics of Cookie every day so we knew she was happy and in great hands! It's such a small cost for knowing our fur baby wasn't lonely while we were away.
Melina is extremely passionate about animals and their welfare, which shines through when she cares for our cat Lola.
Melina takes the time to understand their routine, likes/dislikes in detail and to the greatest extent possible ensures her routine is maintained while we are away.
We receive photos and updates on a daily basis and Lola is always calm and happy upon our return.
I have no doubt that Melina also takes the time to talk and play with Lola while we are away in addition to taking care of the necessities of feeding and cleaning kitty litter etc.
Melina is a beautiful, caring individual and we are very comfortable having her look after Lola and our property while we are away.
Frances and Melina are our two favourite sitters at Cat Companion.

Nick lives with Sally and is the proud father of their two naughty Devon cats. He has had cats growing up all his life, Smudge being his first and truly enjoys meeting new ones.
As avid travellers Sally and I appreciate the value in having our cats well cared for when we are away and my roles in hospitality allow me to get out and about during the day for visits.

She loves to be in the company of cats whenever she can!
The Cat Companion Story
I've been a friend to cats for nearly all of my life. From the age of 10 I have loved and lost some of my closest friends and companions.
From Tiger, Mitzey, Kelly, Smokey and Bandit to my two loyal and loving companions Minnie and Jemima, who teach me more and more everyday about how to be a good cat owner and carer.
After more than a decade in advertising, I really wanted to put more of my energy into the animals I love. As a first step I decided to become a Veterinary Nurse to learn more about keeping animals, and especially cats, happy and healthy.
As well as completing my Veterinary Nursing qualification, I also completed an Animal Studies Certificate at Taronga Zoo, where I learned more about wild animals and of course the big cats, having spent 6 months in the carnivores section.
I spent two weeks of my South African honeymoon at an animal rehabilitation centre in Hodespruit where I got to spend time with servals, cheetahs, meerkats, caracals and lots of other gorgeous and adorable cats.
Somewhere in amongst these furry adventures I formed Cat Companion, an organisation that I now manage.
If that sounds like something you're about too, say hello.
