How Our Cat Sitting Works
Cat Companion is a personalised cat sitting and cat minding service covering Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. Cat Companion allows you to travel whilst leaving your cat in the security and comfort of their own home offering a much better alternative than placing your cat into a cattery, where they often become very stressed and pine for their home and owners.

1. Booking Form

Complete the Cat Companion booking form. The details you provide will allow us to pass on your details to the Cat Companion who is closest to your area and/or available during the times you have specified.
2. Meet and Greet

Your Cat Companion will contact you to arrange a FREE initial consultation which will enable you to meet your companion and your companion to meet your cat and more importantly for your cat to meet us. You need to be entirely happy and comfortable with the relationship we have with your cat before deciding to go ahead.
3. Cat Sitting Visits

Each cat sitting visit lasts 25 minutes in which time we give your cat the loving attention it needs. Your cat will be fed, played with, cuddled, their litter tray cleaned and any medication required administered, at no extra charge. We can also bring in your mail, water plants, take bins out, close curtains, whatever it is you may need.
You will have a direct mobile number to contact your companion during your time away and your companion will send you updates after each visit.

Your Cat Companions

Sally
Sally lives in Paddington with her partner Nick and their two 'very spoilt' Devon Rex, Pixie and Rex.
Sally grew up surrounded by animals including her 3 horses, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, mice, lambs, lizards and of course cats.

Nick
Nick lives with Sally and is the proud father of their two naughty Devon cats. He has had cats growing up all his life, Smudge being his first and truly enjoys meeting new ones.
As avid travellers Sally and I appreciate the value in having our cats well cared for when we are away and my roles in hospitality allow me to get out and about during the day for visits.

Donna
I live in Phillip Bay with my partner and 15 year old son. I grew up with many different animals including dogs, ducks, possums, blue-tongue lizards, ferrets, cockatoos and of course cats.
I love all animals but have a real soft spot for cats and currently have five crazy, funny, entertaining and gorgeous cats and two dogs. I enjoy meeting new cats and discovering their personalities.

Kylie
Kylie lives in Clovelly and has a beautiful rescue cat called Katniss who is a true friend and sleeps beside her every night.
Kylie has a real soft spot for cats and when she was younger she wanted to be a vet but life led her to be a registered nurse. Through cat sitting she still gets plenty of time with special cats.

Felicia
Felicia lives in Rushcutters Bay and studies floristry part-time. She has grown up with cats and loves to spend time with them whenever she can! She is friendly, calm and caring to the needs of all different cats.

Rosie
Rosie lives in Waverley and is a huge animal lover and has been around cats her whole life. Rosie currently has two cats, a 14 year old Burmese (Ms. Lara) and a 12 year old ginger tabby (Mr. Kitty Kat) who are spoiled rotten. Rosie is also a big plant lover and has many plants and loves taking care of those too.
The Cat Companion Story

I've been a friend to cats for nearly all of my life. From the age of 10 I have loved and lost some of my closest friends and companions.
From Tiger, Mitzey, Kelly, Smokey and Bandit to my two loyal and loving companions Minnie and Jemima, who teach me more and more everyday about how to be a good cat owner and carer.
After more than a decade in advertising, I really wanted to put more of my energy into the animals I love. As a first step I decided to become a Veterinary Nurse to learn more about keeping animals, and especially cats, happy and healthy.
As well as completing my Veterinary Nursing qualification, I also completed an Animal Studies Certificate at Taronga Zoo, where I learned more about wild animals and of course the big cats, having spent 6 months in the carnivores section.
I spent two weeks of my South African honeymoon at an animal rehabilitation centre in Hodespruit where I got to spend time with servals, cheetahs, meerkats, caracals and lots of other gorgeous and adorable cats.
Somewhere in amongst these furry adventures I formed Cat Companion, an organisation that I now manage.
If that sounds like something you're about too, say hello.
Claire.
